1963 Super 88 Wagon rims
Okay guys its been awhile since ive been on here so I may be a bit rusty. Question of the day is this... Does anyone know the specifics of a 1963 full size car rim? Backspace and offset primarily. Upgraded to Scarebird disc brakes so I am required to upgrade to a 15" but am trying to match that factory curb appeal so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! TIA

Yes, stock 14" rims won't work with scarebird disc brakes .
My 63 uses 73 and up Chevy pickup wheels and they will work with discs .
2.25 x 75 R 15 tires will match the originals in diameter so the speedometer will work properly.
The original dog bowl hubcaps even fit .

Thank you very much Charlie! That should be a very easy rim to come across. If I may also ask, what brand of tire are you using in that size? Are they the correct sized white wall or did you just run a black wall? Again, thanks for all your help.

To answer the original question, the wheels should have zero offset. Backspace depends on width. Bolt pattern is 5x5". Most 1971-76 full size and 1977-1996 full size with HD brakes have wheels that will work, usually 15x7.

I got my tire sizing information from this thread;

Another heavy duty 15" wheel that fits well is the 1994 to 1996 Chevy Caprice police spec wheel that came with the 9C1 optioned cars, I have a set of these on my 63 with 235-70-R15 tires. These will not allow snap-on dog dish caps but any 15" full wheelcover will work.
