Radiator 1956

Hello everyone.
I am looking for a radiator for a 1956 Olds 98. It has the 5.3. Anyone have a place they recommend?

radiator repair

Check with your local radiator shop they will probably be able to repair your old one cheaper than buying a new one.

You use a interesting term for a 324 engine(5.3). Are you living outside of the states? If so a new radiator can be had from USA Parts(703)335 1935 part#s1219r.It will be expensive though....Tedd

I like Radiator Barn. They don't have inventory past 1960 listed on their website, but they may be able to help you anyway. You can fill out this form and they'll get back to you. I've had good luck with them in the past, good quality radiators, they even sent me a free hat once...

Here is the form to see if they have a rad for your '56. Good luck.

Ted,
I use the term 5.3 because of my mechanic experience with some other cars. I will start to use the 324. I live in Atlanta, GA area.
I will check out USA parts. I know I need a new one. Lots of holes in it. Do you know is USA parts is going to be quality? there price is up there, but worth it is if it good quality.

Thanks

Joe

I have had good luck using USA parts in the past.I have never bought a radiator so I don't know about quality,I did purchase a heater core and have had no problems. They have never been cheep so shop around.

Even If your radiator leaks it could be re-cored(old top and bottom new middle core). This is a common repair on older radiators and is cheaper than a new radiator....Tedd
