I have bolted on a 394 spin-on oil filter housing ('62) onto a 371 ('57) that had a canister oil filter with no problem. Maybe this could be a solution to the earlier 324 and 303 guys instead of buying that expensive one off ebay

I just did this on my 56 324 a few days ago. I haven't run the car with it on yet but it was a very easy swap, just use sealer like the instructions say. I have the one off ebay but I got it at a swapmeet for $20.

Yeah, ditto; please keep us posted! HOPEFULLY you used "enough Sealer" and got it all installed correctly. When I bought mine it already had one but it leaks a bit I think...leaves a drippy trail whenever I pull it in or out of the garage...I'm still trying to find the leak; a buddy has one and his does the EXACT same thing...he THINKS maybe ours were installed wrong; it doesn't leak bad enought to be a huge concern but it's just annoying! GOOD luck!

I have one on my 324 that was installed when I got the car. It leaks also. I found the leak it is from a plug on the bottom of the adapter. I pulled it out and the threads on the adapter do not match the threads on the plug. I am going to pull the adapter and see if I can get the right plug or else re-tap the hole.

Wow! GOOD to know! Let me know what you wind up doing and how it works out! I won't toy w/ mine until spring/summer; but THANKS for the info! (HATE leaks!! )
Thanks Again!
