Can anyone tell me how to test a 6 vdc generator? I took it apart and cleaned it all brushes are good and Coils aren't shorted to the case but I don't think it's recharging the battery. My ammeter doesn't work but I could test it with a VOM; I think?

Watch this. It is easier than trying to explain it.

If after doing that test you still aren't charging check your voltage regulator.
You can search youtube for a video on that too.

Thanks! That's the best--easiest-explanation I've seen.

I appreciate the help.
