Hurst shift rods

I need to replace the shift rods on my Hurst shifter. Are the rods specific to year and make of car? I'm converting my Muncie shifter to a Hurst shifter on my 65. Thank you.

Yes sort of, you need the correct levers and rods for type of trans and shifter you have. Pre '69 Muncie levers fasten with bolts, '69 and up had studs with nuts. Other than that, tunnel clearance is the only issue.

Heating and bending rods to fit can be fun, and time consuming!
