Differential shop in chicago

Differential shop in chicago

I want to put a 3:73 posi gear in my cutlass but I was wondering if any of you guys know any good rear end shops or guys that are good at gear changes in the chicago land area?

Suburban driveline in addison, il. I've had them do a few cars for me over the years. I went to junior high school with phil.

I assume they do great work if you keep going back haha. Do you usually bring them a whole kit and they just install it or will they only use there on parts (like shims etc)

Yeah I believe you can bring them stuff. There used to be a junkyard down the street about a mile, and I used to pull used gears and bring them in there when I was a poor teenager. So long as I paid the mechanic's labor, I don't think they cared.

I'm not sure if that would fly now that I'm old though.

Yeah, I figure if they were good to me as a penniless kid, they'll most likely be even better to a grown man with a hand full of money.
