Speedo calibration

Hey everyone,
My drivetrain is not original. My speedo is off. Is this something that can be adjusted or fixed?

Thanks,
Bob

yes there are gears in the trans that can be changed to make the speedo more accurate.

there is a ratio adatper you can attach outside the trans to make the speedo more accurate

In the meantime you can make a chart like i did
37 indicated =30 actual
62 indicated = 50 actual
etc i posted it next to my head light switch for quick reference my rearend was changed from a 2.7x to a 3.42 ratio or about 24% change

there are many phone apps that use gps for a speedo

there are many cheap and expensive GPS speedos available on ebay etc

number 3 is the cheapest and easiest plus i figure it might help me out of a ticket....ahh my speedo isnt accurate and i was looking at the wrong column for conversion ( eh i can dream right )

Knowing your tire size and rear end gear ratio will get you where you need to go with the transmission speedometer drive/driven gears.

Knowing the transmission type would help also.

I use option 3 from above. I put the GPS monitor on the lower left side of the windshield just above the dash. It doesn't interfere with my view of anything there and it can give some interesting tid bits about where you are from time to time.
