Shift Kit Question

I have a Jetaway 2 speed with only park, reverse, neutral, drive and low. Will this pose a problem if I install a 200-r4 with a shift kit? Does the shifter have to be able to be placed into first gear in order for the shift kit to work (moving the shifter through the gears)? Or, will it work from the drive position?

Thanks guys.

The shift kit will work fine but you will be able to manually shift into OD and D only.

Check www.shiftworks.com for shifter conversion parts.

It depends on the "shift kit", but nearly all of them work in the Drive or Overdrive position. A fully manual valve body would not, but I doubt that is what you are buying.
