Header/ Clutch Z Bar Conflict

Header/ Clutch Z Bar Conflict
Has anyone encountered the Z bar on a 1970 442 rubbing on the header tube?
It's at the end of the arm where the push rod mounts. I was thinking about cutting the arm off and remounting it over towards the block about a 1/2". I don't want to create another problem though. Any ideas/fixes welcomed.
Also would like to purchase and install the backup linkage. Anyone know if this will work with headers?
I'm about ready to put stock manifolds on and eliminate a bunch of headaches.
Thanks
Rick

When I had my M20 we cut the ZBar turned it around 180 degrees and welded it back up. Worked like a charm. I guess what I'm saying is it can be done. Just think fabrication. Or, put the manifolds back on. What will you lose in power? 30 hp?
