Best fitting headers 1972 455

Just curious what headers you guys have had luck with... I currently have older set of hookers that hang quite low and wondering what everyone else has had luck with..

im currently looking at a set of Dougs..

They hang low probably because your car has been lowered from looking at your picture.

the car is lowered, however the sit about 2.5" lower than the frame and have about 4" to the floorboard.

On my '72 project I bought some good used headers and had them coated. When I installed them one tube rubbed on the brake junction block bolted to the frame under the master cylinder. I have read of this problem before but maybe its my motor mounts? My car is a U code, 455 but when I bought it there was a 350 2bbl under the hood. Now it has a '72 455 but the fan is too low in the shroud and rubs at the bottom inside. I guess I should look into whether I have the right mounts?

probably just whipped motor mounts my fan rubbed at the bottom of the shroud too, one motor was broken in half and the other was just compressed new mounts fixedthe fan rub. Assuming your shroud and radiatior are in good shape and correctly mounted.
