I get steering gear setup for free
Proforged was on another site I frequent looking for test vehicles for a new front end setup they were developing for a 64-67 Chevelle. So I asked if they would accept a Funny Looking Chevelle (my car) as a test vehicle. They decided to accept so they can add Olds to their vehicle line of compatible vehicles for the kit.

I will get:
Inner and outer tie rod ends
Centerlink
Idler arm
Pitman arm
A pair of aluminum adjusting farrels
List price is $531.00 and free freight.
How cool is that? I'm pumped!!

All the parts on the 64-67 model year Cutlass's are the same as a Chevelle with the same challenges, the different sized centerlinks and attaching parts. What this company is trying to do is eliminate the issue by replacing all the associated parts and creating a universal kit. Granted their kit is a bit pricey. I needed to replace my centerlink and possibly the idler arm anyway. We'll see what it looks like when it arrives, got my fingers crossed.
I'll probably hold on to the old parts for a bit to make sure the new ones hold up.

OK, I installed everything on Sunday, however could not get it aligned till today. All went well. They sent me 2 center links, pn 106-10063 which is not listed in their parts listings, and 106-10060 which is the one I used and what they list for the Cutlass on their website.
They basically sent me this kit:

This individual parts list for all the parts:

As my pitman arm was fine I did not change it. The install of remaining parts went the way it's suppose to and took about 1.5 hours. I had to grind a small amount (1/8th inch) off the bottom of my BBC frame brackets as the inner tie rods just barely scraped. All parts looked to be very good quality. Took it over to the alignment shop this morning and reset toe double checked all my other settings and $64.00 later I was on my way out. It drives as good as new now.

99% are manufactured and assembled in Taiwan. I don't believe Moog is made in the US anymore either. Some may say assembled in the US but the parts come from overseas.
Don't get me wrong I've only bought and recommended Moog for last 40+ years and they are a quality product. All the remaining suspension parts on my car are Moog.
I would have never tried them without their offer and the price was right. The parts from Proforged seem to be of good quality and finish, I give em a thumbs up.

Ironically, I just noticed that Proforged was making parts for our cars. Last winter I replaced the stabilizer end links on a Camry and decided to pay a little extra for the Proforged. It was a massive upgrade. I was amazed at the difference one little part could make.
