Converting power steering to manual

If I wanted to convert my car to manual steering, is it just a matter of changing the gear box? From the looks of the assembly manual and service manual, the steering column is the same. I don't want to deal with the pump and associated brackets with my new engine build. Like to keep it simple with one belt for the alternator. This would be on a 67 442. Thanks.

I found my answer during a search. Manual it is.
