HEADERS

Hi I have a 71 cutlass conv. with a 350 and looking to install headers and new exhaust.I want ceramic coated ones. So my question is .... what brand seems to fit better than the others? I was going to go with Dynomax or Flowmax but just want to check to see wich ons will fit without dingging up.

Plus what about Pypes exhaust sytems?

Wink headers

I INSTALLED DYNOMAX HEADERS ON MY 350.THEY WERE A HEADACHE TO PUT IN.I HAD TO BANG IN THE PASSENGER SIDE AND REMOVE THE OIL FILTER TO GET THAT SIDE IN.I HAD TO REMOVE THE STARTER ON THE DRIVERS SIDE TO GET THAT SIDE IN.THEY'RE DEFINITELY WORTH IT THOUGH.
I HAVE A 2.5 INCH DUAL EXHAUST FROM THE HEADERS TO THE 40 SERIES FLOWMASTER MUFFLERS EXITING THROUGH 3 INCH TIPS BEHIND BOTH REAR WEHEELS.

I LOVE THE RUMBLE IT PUTS OUT

I installed Hooker ceramic coated on my 350, had to lift the engine a little bit to put them in.

I have the pypes system for my Gbody sitting in my garage right now. I havent had the chance to put it in yet. From what I can see it is very well constructed and it fits together very nice. I did buy Hedman headers and I was realy disapointed. The p/s fits fine, but the d/s totally hits the starter by alot. It was so bad that instead of just pounding it out, I had to cut out the piece and reweld in new pieces to fit aroond the starter. It was also a mini starter. I would not go with them again if I had the choice. I should also mention that they were the cheapest ones they had so that might have had something to do with the fit.

I've got a pair of Hedman shorties ready to go on my 71 350. They look to be good quality.

headers

I have a 73-350 and when the cheep cyclones rusted I put in a set of Hookers. 2.5 INCH. Didn't have any problems. Put em in from the bottom. Sometimes 3 inch tubs aren't better.
