Exhaust and Headers

What do you guys recommend? I want to put exhaust and headers on my 350 rocket. The motor is stock, just want great sound and little extra hp. What is a great set up, hooker, headman, flowmasters etc..??

Currently, I have a set of Hooker 3901 about to go in. By just test fitting it looks like they may go in easy once I remove the oil filter and adapter.

My friend has had the same set for a few years now and they look like they are still new. I guess you can't go wrong with ceramic headers.

My two cars (70 Supreme 350-4bbl and 71 convertible 350-4bbl) have had Heddman Headers since 1982 with very few issues. The last set was installed in around 1990 so I don't know if they are the same today as back then.

If you buy a used set you know they will fit lol. I have an old set and I mean old set of blackjack headers I restored and been running them for 7 years no issues , 2.5 in. X pipe and hooker aero chamber mufflers. Very very unique sound at w.o.t .

Would love to hear them. Hey what's the difference in the X pipe or running straight duels? Are you selling that set up? What's a good set up for my car, stock 350?

I'm running American Racing Headers Pure Thunder Series mufflers. From what Nick at ARH said, they have a similar design to the Borla XR-1 muffler. Below is a link where you can hear them.

Do you have the part number? I really want some headers for my 307 that allow me to change my spark plugs easily and don't have any clearance issues in my 98.

You also want a fram 3506 filter, this shorter filter will allow you to change the oil without offending everyone in ear shot. I'd recommend upgrading the starter too.

I currently have a couple of wix in my rock auto cart. Royal purple, Fram ultra synthetic amsoil, Mobil 1 are normally the top brands but I'm sure my ol 307 will do just fine on penzoil 10w30 and a wix.
