Exhaust clamps

Has anyone ever used Walker exhaust clamps. The type for a butt connection

Not yet, but they make a lot of sense. I spent Sunday fighting with pipe joints that had been squashed by normal exhaust clamps to replace the muffler on my 84. That'll make anyone believe in the butt connection clamps.

Be sure to make good butt joints before hand.
No 1/2 assing it.

That was a question I had about them.
If the gap isn't perfect will they leak.
I cut a pipe a little short and have about a 1/4 in gap.
Not sure they will seal good
