Unhappy Cutlass Supreme headers?

What do header companies like Hooker and Heddman have against the Cutlass Supreme? EVERY single SBO header they make appears to have a "Will not fit Cutlass Supreme" footnote on it. What's so different between the CS and the "regular" or even 442 Cutlass? Does ANYONE make a header to fit my '69 Cutlass Supreme (350)? Specifically, one with 2.25" collectors or 2.5" collectors with available 2.25" reducers? The cam upgrade I want to do will be mild, but not so mild that it won't need headers.
Thanks!

Just order a set for a Cutlass 'S'. There is no mysterious "engine offset".

Absolutely NOTHING. At least through 1972, the Supreme and Cutlass use exactly the same frame, motor mounts, block, trans mount, etc, etc. The manifolds and exhaust pipes are the same. The sheet metal and inner fenders forward of the firewall are the same. Prior to 1970, even the BODIES were the same (the notchback Supreme didn't come out until 1970). I have personally contacted Hooker Headers about this and got a polite form letter that basically said "thanks but no thanks".

This comes up at least once a month. It's an urban myth. Just order headers for a Cutlass.

I have a 69 Supreme with a 350, my cheap a$$ Flowtech's I bought from JC Whitney work just fine. I had to remove the starter and oil filter bracket, drink a few beers and cuss a bit, but they went in.

Thanks, guys, I'll ignore the footnote. I THOUGHT it sounded odd that any given headers would fit a plain Cutlass or 442 but not a CS.

Beer and cussing helps me out alot.At least Olds headers lay under the plugs and are really simple compared to shitrolet's.

Anyone have any magic tricks for installing heddman headers? The machine shop had them installed for the engine break-in, but mechanics can not get the right side to reinstall now that the engine is back in the car. This is a 70 Cutlass Supreme w/ original 350. Summit Racing and Heddman claims these headers are specifically made for this combo. I'm thinking there must be a trick to the install process??

Yea, the right side has allways been the easy side for me too.

Remove the oil filter and the housing it attaches too. Re-install after the header is in.

Thanks guys. I had already told him he needed to remove the oil adaptor and filter, but he was still having a problem with it. I waiting to hear back from him this afternoon.
