1971 cutlass points eliminator kit

Im stuck betewee the Accel,Mallory E-spark, Petronix and Cran cams XR... Im not sure which one to choose or if any is better that the other. Im leaning towards the mallory or accell as you can use the resristor wire and dont have to run a new ignition wire...the cutlass has a SBO 350 stock with flowtech CC headers next week dynomax exhaust(soon to be flowmaster). I had the car for 2 weeks and points went out after not adjussting them correcty i finally got runniing good but I dont want the hassle of ponts.........any suggestions will be glady appreciated thank you.

I put a HEI distributor in my 71 back about 1997 and then found I had to "modify" (with a BFH) my air cleaner to clear it. So I finally put the pertronix kit back in the original distributor and installed earlier this year-Really easy and works great of course my car is all stock and doesnt need high spark energy or reving up high, I recommend the pertronix unless you need more.

also the instructions said that its better to use a full 12V wire feed but if your car has a resistor wire but if its Ok to use that as your feed which is what I did with no problems. I googled pertronix and found the basic conversion kit for the Gm point style dist for about $70.00. I think it was on ebay.

I used Pertronix on my 72 Vette for many years with no problems. easy to install and worked great. I bypassed the resistor positive source with switched 12V from the fuseblock.

I've had Pertronix on my '68 4-4-2 since 2007 and on my '71 Corvette since 2003 and both work great.

Oooo.. both are beautiful. nice!

I just sold my 72 that I have owned for 20 years. It is a little strange not having it in the garage.

the pertronix is about 120 through summit and accel is about half that. if the pertronix is that much better, my next move will be this after my exhaust gets installed. then intake and 4bbl eddy 600.
