Are you looking for #s correct, date coded starter or a good, clean unit that will work well with your engine? I believe that I have a fresh rebuilt starter, still in the box from the manufacturer. Please let me know. Shipping to Germany will not be cheap. Thanks, Bob.

PM sent.

I don't care about the right date code on the starter. I just want the right starter for the car/engine in 100% working condition.
As i said here: https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...2/#post1512709
Rebuilt starters are all over the place but apparently hit and miss. I do not really want to gamble with a rebuilt starter since as you pointed out shipping is so expensive i pretty much can't send it back if it does not work.

Michael, I may have a source for a brand new starter; I'll have to see if they have one for your application. So far I have purchased a new alternator for my wife's Toyota Camry and a starter for an older forklift that I have. Both are new parts and were on the shelf when I called them. I'll give them a call on Monday to see if they have what you're looking for. Thanks, Bob.

If you need the threaded hole on the side of the field case, you must be careful what you buy. Most new or rebuilt starters will not have this threaded hole. If you can't find a correct starter with the hole, I can build you a quality correct replacement.
