I sent a beautiful used one to Classic auto air and they rebuilt it for me and looked as good an NOS when I got it back. I did have to replace the face plate. Just tossing an option out there for you if you can't find NOS.

I just replied to your PM but I just realized that I am talking about the wrong part. For some reason I was thinking the control unit in the dash. Sorry for the mix up. For the heater control valve I found an aftermarket on ebay that looked like mine. It was in a very old box and when I got it, It had the same markings on it as the original. You may look there. I am sure it was made by the same place that made my original.

68-70 heater valve for a/c.

This is a used unit, but tested and holds a vacuum. $60 shipped.
They are the small nipple from 68-70. I think it went to the larger one in 71.

Gerald it would be the smaller size for the 70. The 71-72 has the larger pipe.

Thanks for the offer. I have my original one that works but since this car is gonna finish up as a show car I will have to hold out. Again thanks. I am sure someone will buy it.

You might want to consider having your original one refinished. Sparky's did mine for about 60.00 shipped - there is a thread on this titled Sparky's Does It Again.

Thanks. I did talk with him this morning. I am gonna send it to him. He said yours was the first that had been done. Still looking for one as a back up but it will be good to have the original.
