WTB Inline Flathead 6

Hey guys! Newbie here in Sacramento! Anyone know of a 39 era straight 6 flathead for sale? Mine is stuck, and I'd really like to keep the car original, even if numbers won't match.

Thanks!
Chris

Saw one on craigslist a while back. 39-49 are pretty much the same if your not concerned about exacty year. Have you checked out the guy with the 39 Olds website? Take a look there for some leads! I saw a 42 at Good Guys in Columbus friday that had just started to be rat-rodded and had a late model motor just put in it? Im sure he had just removed the original. Give me a shout back if you dont have any luck and I may be able to find you something through my people that ive got to know with my 1942 Olds.

Thanks guys! Yeah- still feeling my way around here. That other 6 must be gone, but 500 bucks? WOOHOO!

My engine is definitely stuck. Been sitting a week with Marvel in it, thinking of deisel too. I dont know... When you pull the valve covers off the side of the block, you can see the oil in there was TOASTED. like flakes. THe engine overall looks pretty good, so I'd like to free it up. Also, #5 and 6 look rough and the walls are rusty.

I've freed up many old scooter engines, and even an old Morris flat 4 but this is a wee bigger. I'm willing to take it on tho!

Thanks I'll check the vintage section.
