WTB 68 Cutlass/442 2 Door Hardtop Trunk lid (Pref. central CA)

I now have a lid.....Thanks Ratchetmaster!
I'm looking for a trunk lid for a 68 442 that was too close to the coast for comfort. The one on the car has bad edge rust through.
Thanks for any help or leads. Please pmail me or send an e-mail to me at
goodkarmechanic@yahoo.com

Sorry It took so long.
I took the pictures today. I will get them to you in the next day or two. Way to much work at the moment.
No rot rusting issues. Surface rust on seal contact areas. IT is a very nice deck lid.

Thanks for the update Tim, I appreciate it and look forward to seeing those pics. Any ideas on shipping the lid? Greyhound? might be too big for under the bus.

I have a 68 Trunklid from a vinyl top car. No trim or emblems. $150 plus the ride from MO. Greyhound may be a cheap option. Can email you more detailed pics if interested.

firefighter5174 Thanks for your post with pictures.
Lid looks pretty useable a bit of rust on the pinch edge.
I can't be sure, but this lid looks a bit short from the picture of the bottom.
By the emblem it looks like a cutlass supreme emblem.
Is the supreme 2 door hard top the same as the "s" & 442 lid save for trim & emblems?
I don't know that's why I'm asking. Maybe you could measure it from the edge with the vinyl to the lower lip on the outside edge?
It would be great if you would do that & get back to me.
Thanks,
Al

Al,
I believe all 2 door hardtops are the same but just to make sure I ran outside and measured. It is the same length and width as the one that is on my 442. I will also have that one for sale. I can get pics of that tomorrow. The 442 one was also a vinyl top lid but the previous owner had the mounts removed.

Yes it does have surface rust on it. I showed pics of the worst spots. Ill get you some more in the daylight tomorrow.

Thanks Tyler, I look forward to seeing those 442 lid pics.
How long are the lids do you remember?
Thanks,
Al
PS also I'm looking for the oldsmobile strip across the bottom.
The one on my friend's 442 fell off because the edge was so far gone!

I think it was 30 3/8" at the very corner and 31 1/4 at the very center or something like that. I know they are the same across becasue I removed the chrome strip for the supreme and put it on the 442 and it fit the same.

I have an extra chrome strip and Ill get you pics of that also.

I will load the pics tonight when I get off work. I should be off before 8pm tonight. The last few nights I have had meetings until late.

My lid has no rot. Has some surface rust on the seal area. it is not bulging or rusting out.
It includes the trim and emblem.

Here is an old thread I posted last year. shows the car.
