I've got lots of heads in Oregon, but I know there's members closer to you who have them also. If you strike out let me know, but otherwise...

hey 2blu442, what are the best heads that you have that are big valves?
also, do you have a 4 speed setup for a 455? bell housing, transmission etc.

I've got C's and Ka's with big valves. Depending on what your plans are for the car, either of those may work about the same for you.

I may have a bellhousing and flywheel, but don't think I've got extras of the rest of what you'd need for the swapover.

John,
i am just going to use the engine as a daily driver, mild performance build, about 450HP...just want a set of large valve heads to replace the junk J's i have now. no racing or anything like that...the truck has 2.73:1 rear gears... all i would need is the bellhousing, and a 4spd transmission, the flywheel would be nice... i could find the rest of the parts like the clutch pressure plate, shifter etc. etc.
i have the clutch pedal assembly and all that

kind regards,
ray

You will want to find them as close to you as you can. USPS was the lowest price to ship heads but they increased there rates. I am not sure who would be best to ship with now. I have Big valve C, E, and G heads. All are just cores that need rebuilt. I have $200 per set on them but shipping will be high.

I sent you a PM Ray. But yeah, if you can find them closer at a reasonable price it will save you some $$ on shipping.

I've shipped a lot of heads and what I've found to work best is remove the rockers but leave the valves/springs on. Then roll each head in heavy cardboard two or three times. Then ship each head separately and the rockers in another box. My favorite shipper is FedEx ground as they're often cheaper than USPS or UPS in my part of the country. I also created an account with them which knocks off a few dollars more.

I've asked around before here on the forums....seems no one is near NC, LOL
i found a place in SC, but they wanted 350 for bare C heads which i think is outrageous... 200 is about the max i want to go, but would prefer them to be complete minus rockers... hopefully i can find some closer, if not i may have to get back up with you guys, I have a TH350 for sale in another thread...anyone interested in a trade for heads, or nice headers?

kind regards,
Ray
