need a rim for a 68 Toro
Hello all,
Looking for a rim for a 68 Toronado to use as a spare. I understand these cars had their own unique rims, but are they interchangeable between the 66-70s and the 71-78s?
Also, if anyone knows a good place to pick one up, please let me know. Thanks!

You can find them on ebay. Does your car have factory front disc brakes? Factory disc brake cars have a different wheel to clear the 4 piston calipers. If you are running trim rings, they are unique to disc brake wheels as well.

rim for a 68 Toro
I have a complete set of four from a '67 Toro; drum brake car. I WOULD be willing to sell individual wheels; good, clean South Florida condition. If interested, email me direct: drolds1@bellsouth.net. Thanks, Bob.

Doubtful 66 wheels will fit, but I won't say they won't.
All 66 and drum brake 67 use the same wheel. 67 disc brake and all 68-70 use the same wheel. 71-78 work on all Toronado and Eldorado but the brake cooling slots are different from earlier wheels.

Thanks everyone. My car is a factory disc brake car. I don't have any trim rings, just the dog dish hubcaps and a set of the wire spoke hubcaps.
I am in Colorado, so I will check out the place in Englewood, thanks for the tip.
Do you think the different cooling slots on the 71-78 make any difference? I'm just looking for a spare to keep in the trunk. Colorado roads are infamous for all the construction debris, screws, etc. on the roads. Not to mention the potholes which never seem to get fixed...

Chris, the early rims have 10 holes around the center where the lug nuts are. The later ones have 7 holes. If you don't have full sized wheel covers it would stand out as different. But if your only using it for a spare you might be OK.
