need 308 or 29? for a 65 cutlass

I presently have a 355 gear in my 65 cutlass and want to put in a 308 or 29? ring and pinon. am getting away from the performance part of this hobby and are wanting to use the car for road trips and really dont know much about this rear end stuff, if you can help thank you ...jim

It all depends on your engine how its built. How the car is setup. What transmission you have. 3.08 are a very nice gear. Work really well with big blocks.

its a very mild 350 and the trans is a tci 350....jim

nice 65 post jim,are those a chrome torq thrust wheel? they look great.i also have a 350 in mine, the original 330 long gone.nice car.

yes they are the crome torque thrust, had them now about 3 1/2 years. still have my 330 but its apart...... jim

am checking today to see which rear I have pontiac or buick, also any numbers on the housing. the 308 gear set would be the way to go I think?
