Try these Tedd. I know they are a bit further than wanted, but if the price is right... The second one sure is a shame he's parting it out

Thanks GAOldsman,

But I need a hood for a 55 and 56 will not work. Getting to the point that I'm looking at any good hood at any distance.

PS. that 56 sure looks to good to parted out, I wonder what it's issues are that caused it to be parted. ...Tedd

That first one is incorrectly labeled. It is a 55, not a 56 and the hood looks straight.

The second one is a 56 that was hit in the left front and looks like the hood may have damage on the left side. It also has a SBC and what looks like an electric wiper motor.

I figured the first one was a '55. Tedd did you send him a PM? The second one was a beauty. Here's a rough one on fleabay.

I turned that one over to my insurance agent and he hasen't gotten back to me today. It looks like it may clean up ok. I forgot it's Saturday - he may or may not be working. It's hard to remember when everyday is Saturday. I love retirement.

I called Desert Valley on Thursday and got this sub-human on the telephone who said he had two hoods in inventory. Said he'd check on them and call me back in about 2 hours. I called back when I hadn't heard from him by Friday morning. When I connected with him, he yelled at me that he'd call when he got the time to go out a look. I can't recall a single time when I was in sales that I couldn't find time to go check on something that was worth a grand! But I'm not burning my bridges with the jerk because the part is too scarce and he says he has two.

Thanks for all your replies and support.
