'65 A-Body Right Outside Mirror
#3
It appears that it is correct that no outside passenger side rear view mirror was offered on the "A" body in 1965.
The option code for the manual mirror was D32; the option code for the remote control mirror was D33. All indications are that both were installed on the driver's door only. The mirrors sold as accessories for the "A" body were the same. They were in group 10.185. The manual mirror was part number 982260 and was designated "L.H.". The remote control mirror was part number 982395 and was designated "L.H.". The only "R.H." mirror I can find is part number 982472. It is a manual mirror designated for the "B" body cars and can be used "L.H. or R.H.". It is likely that a "L.H." mirror for the "A" body could also be used as a "R.H." mirror, but the Fusick catalog 49C shows two manual mirrors with different part numbers for the 1965 "A" body; one for "L.H." and the other for "R.H.". ????
