1976 - 1977 Cutlass Rear Bumper Uglier the Better
Hello all,
Looking for a rear bumper for a 76-77 Cutlass. The car is a 2 door if it makes a difference not sure. I bought the car with the rear bumper missing. This car will be sort of a rat rodesk driver so I don't need a bumper that looks all that good, just somewhat solid. Rotten, dented or bent a little not that big of a deal this car is an un-restorable beater. I'm basically looking for the trashed bumper that someone had to replace. I'm in the Chicagoland area by O'hare but willing to drive about 300 miles if you have what I need.
Thanks!
Adam

Northwest Side - Irving Park and Cumberland. Just west of Norridge. Car came out of Wisconsin by the Dells. Their family's car since new but sat for the last 20 years. Will be a good Chicago city car. Won't get carjacked this one LOL!

Has a tan interior. Rear is rotten so is under the vinyl top. Floorboards are shot so is the trunk floor. Frame is strong where it needs to be so just going to hack it together. Just need a soso rear bumper... you have one?

It’s not even broke-in yet, it’s got a lot of life in her yet! My wife’s car was parked at 95,000 miles on it because it was badly rusted, much worse than yours. I wound up putting the motor in a 84 Ninety-Eight and drove it another 100,000 miles until I sold it. I like seeing all these rusted out haulks on the road, make them safe and reliable and they will become the envy of the neighborhood.

Yeah I hope so. Installed a new timing chain assembly and distributor and runs good. Had that nylon gear which was in really good shape but glad that's done. Going to rebuild the carb and should run even better. Will figure out something for the bumper just to get it somewhat legal. I have 2 cars that have been finished for awhile now. Got this just to tinker with and keep me busy over the winter. Did a lot to this car to get it road worthy but was fun and I enjoyed it.
I doubt this will be the envy of the neighborhood though!!

Yeah it has dual exhaust off the manifolds which was actually done quiet nicely and is still solid. Its just a stock 350 engine and not much else was ever done to the car from the looks of things. Still even had the original all metal radiator with the non ac 4 blade direct drive fan set up which I had ever seen before. Changed out the radiator but kept the rest. If anyone wants that radiator they can have it, I assume its junk but never know. The setup kept it cool before so I assume it should now, will see when its hot out.
Just looking for a rough, dented or a little rotten rear bumper that sort of fits the condition of the car. If anyone has a 74-75 rear bumper that's rough I could go that route too and make it work.
Thanks everyone!

Here’s one in El Paso. Car came from somewhere else. Has rust. Would be an outrageous amount to move bumper by common carrier now. Might even come close to $1000 for shipping.
Am not touching nor buying anything beyond the carb, master cylinder, and distributor bought from this car.

I just shipped a Vista Cruiser top window (center) to a member from Texas to California in a 50"X20"X6" box for just under $160.00. 48"X49"X6 would have been just under $400.00. This was via UPS. Price escalates quickly with size and weight.
