1974 H/O 455 intake, carb and air cleaner

I know several '74 H/Os were being parted on here over the summer. Does anyone have a correct 455 intake, QJet and dual snorkel from one that they'd like to sell? Thanks.
Terry

Hi Terry
Shipping would be spendy, but I've got several 1973-76 455 intakes out in Oregon. I don't know which casting number you need, but If I have it its available cheap!

Question 1974 H/O 455 intake

I possibly have the intake manifold, if you have a casting #. Thanks, Bob.

Thanks guys - I *think* the correct one is a 412753 / W. Someone who actually owns an untouched '74 W30 Hurst/Olds could probably confirm this for sure.

Also, the QJet would be a 7044559 to the best of my knowledge. Thanks.

Terry,
I have a 412753 if the other guys don't have what you need.
No reasonable offer refused.

1974 Hurst W30 Air cleaner needed

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone had a dual snorkel air cleaner for a 1974 455 W30 Hurst. I also need a set of stock valve covers.
Thanks! Kevin

Vette442:
I am looking for the correct dual snorkel air cleaner for a 74 455 engine. I have a 74, with 412753 intake, Ka Heads, 2.072 intakes, and did have the carb 7044559. I had mine rebuilt, but my no good brother-in-law swiped and sold it for next to nothing I'm sure. If you have the particular carb, even if just a shell, i am certainly interested in it. The 7044559 was original, but my car, as long as I have been around it, never had the correct air cleaner. The air cleaner is #403612, I believe, or could be #419466. If you could help, much obliged.

I found the air cleaner that Dad, who has passed, put away a long time ago, about 28 years, for safe keeping. There is no part number, but its is offset, has two snorkels, one midget one, and there top reads FRONT". I think its factory. I still need the 7044559, though. Thanks

The air cleaner is apparently the correct one. Dual snorkel, offset, etc. Compared the part with other 74 dual snorkels on line, and it looks good. Still looking for carb 7044559. MUST BE 7044559, not 7044558. Will pay good $ for a 7044559, either good condition or rebuildable. I know someone has one they are not using. I just need that piece. Please don't contact me about restamps, or other carbs. I am not trying to offend anyone. If not for my sticky fingered brother-in-law I would not need to hunt for a carb. Anyway, guys, be safe out there!

Guys,
Still looking for 7044559. Have been offered a 7044558. Pay really good $$$$ for 7044559.

Guys, Thank you for completing my search. I have found and acquired, with a rather expensive price tag, the carb #7044559. The only difference between this one and my original, factory unit is the number 0714. I also acquired a backup, 7043251. Parts book says this is the "regular" 455 carb in 74. Thanks for your help. $$$$$$$$$$

I have all three. 7044559 carb, 412753 intake, and the air cleaner. I do have a bend in one of the snorkels on the latter. Two snorkels, one really short on the left facing the front, and the right side normal. Can not find any part number on this. Would not mind having a spare. What do you want for the parts? Individually or together? I have another intake, 413111 (?) I THINK. But it is in my storage building, buried behind stuff. 412753 was on the car. Dad got it in about 83 or so. I just bought another carb to replace the one my thief of a brother-in-law stole. It cost, but the condition is as new. Keep the FAITH! HERB

Was wondering if you still have the 74 dual snorkel air cleaner? One of my snorkels has a bend in it. Don't quite know how to straighten out the bend.
