Looking for a 70 W30 rear end with 3:42 gears and TM code

The 67-69 O-Types are different than the 1970 O-Type. The main difference is the axle shafts/bearings/seals.

some of the early axles did have 31 splines
most axles have 28


the outer axle seal will tell you
seal in the "tube"
seal outside the bearing is 1970

Not in my experience. The inner race of the sealed axle bearings in my '68 rear spun and ruined the axle shafts. I ran a 1970 rear with the open taper bearings for more years than the '68 rear with no axle bearing issues.
