455 engine blocks

I have 9 455 engine blocks and would like to let some of them go to free up space in my garage. Will take $150 each but don't want to ship. If you arrange shipping through Fastenal I can drop it off there on a pallet but will want $20 for gas money and to get a pallet to put it on. The location of my Fastenal is 1049 Indianapolis Road, Greencastle, IN 46135. I can also bring them to the nationals.

1973 date 242
1972 date 073
1971 date 082
1975 date 044 (no 4 speed hole for ball)
1972 Not sure date bored .040

I have no 70 blocks that I am willing to let go of at this time.

I'm not in a position to start a new build right now but I'm curious, is the '70 block coveted? Pre smog?

what makes the '70 block different?

The only diff I have seen is the 75/76 blocks with out the clutch pivot boss.

Nothing differant, I have a local guy that wants one. He is looking for a date range within a 70 block and I am saving them till I know a build date range for him. Now and then I have people that just have to have a correct year stamp in the VIN.

Not to hi-jack your thread but recently read a post that someone is thinking of building a 500hp sbo because he can't find a 455.

Don't think he's looking very hard....

I would think the Dole pineapple empire in Hawaii used plenty of 455's for irrigation purposes. He should start there.
Possibly even the ground power units that started jets at the airport back in the day.
