To supplement Steve's info, that's an "NH" coded piece that is correct for any non-OAI '71 442 and any non-OAI 455/M20 (V Code) Cutlass or W29 442 in 1972.

Maybe y'all can help me ID one I have. Pan is identical to above except the snorkels are reversed- short on passenger side, long on driver side. Obviously Oldsmobile because of the breather tube grommet locations, but not sure what year.

I ran it on my 74 H/O for a while but I know it's not 74 because the long snorkel is not set up for the cold air tube as 74-later are.

Terry , where would I find the code? Is it stamped into it anywhere?

Brett, I think that's it. Looked in the 73 shop book and the 455 MT aircleaner pic is identical to the aircleaner I have. That diagram also shows something I'm not familiar with- shows a cone-shaped filter between hot air pipe and ThermAC on the long snorkel.

Thanks!

I'll also apologize for the hijack but ID-ing these aircleaners can be tricky and we have learned something.

Filter actually more common than you might believe. Used. that I know of, at least back to 68. An old timer I knew called it a mouse guard.
