Paint Sources

Do you have any automotive paint stores in your area? For a online source http://www.autocolorlibrary.com/

I buy from www.smartshoppersinc.com ... they sell Kirker paints made in NY. I have had good results but you are limited to your color choice.
I know the pros will poo-poo anything but the professional lines they shoot but this stuff has worked well for me on two cars and a my Peterbilt.

Thanks.
I've been in the TCP Global website before. I was nervous because the color looks different on the chip and the description is Tahitain Turquois Poly 2078
but my GM sheet says color code 5555 for Tahitian Turquois.
It would be nice to walk into a paint store and look at the chip in person.
I'll just have to risk it.
I wonder if a gut can spray acrylic enamel with an air brush?

The 2078 is correct, the 55 55 is the code that Olds used on the data tag for the paint, 55 for lower body color and 55 again for the upper body color, they used KK on the window sticker for the same paint. Shouldn't be a risk as that is the correct paint code for Tahitian Turquoise by that paint manufacturer. Sounds like you have a '69?

Thanks for clarifying. Yes, I'm in the process of buying OldsmobileDave's 69 442.
I hope to get it in my garage by mid-April. The engine bay needs some
Touch-up so I was hoping to use my spray gun to do the engine bay. I heard some of these places sell your paint in a rattle can too?

If you have an automotive paint & supply store in your area, they can match it, and mix it for you, and put it in aerosol cans. They should have a photospectrameter.
