Heater controls,lubrication ??
Hi,just wonder if anybody sprayed a little lubrication in the "slots"
on the push buttons (???) on the heater control panel ?
My "push buttons" are a little hard to push in.My defroster does not work at all, only
heat on the floor. But this maybe is a vacum problem.Would be nice to have the defroster working.
Dynamic 88-65.(sorry about wrong words )

You need to remove the heater control unit from the car, take it apart, clean it, and re-grease it using a white lithium grease, or some other good grease of your choice.

You can remove the original vacuum hose from the diaphragm, press on a new length of hose, and suck on it with your mouth to see whether the diaphragm moves the flapper, and whether it leaks air.

When fan is on max i could feel a little air from driver side defroster but most of the air flows at the floor.Maybe the flapper has stuck.

When you do that, you should be able to hear the door moving, with the engine and blower off.
You should also feel the diaphragm pull up against the stop, and not have any more air moving - if there is no stop, and you can just keep pulling in air, then there is a hole in the diaphragm.

But i think the whole heater control unit must be removed and cleaned and
lubricated.Have looked in the chassies manual but not found the easiest
way to remove it from the dash.
Any tip about this are great.

Any tip where to buy a new diaphragm , one of my diaphragms are defect. Guess some vacum leak in the heater control unit, can feel i little vacum in the hose but to poor to open the diaphragm who still works.
Has a vacum line direct from the canister in the engine compartment connected to the heater valve on engine and the diaphragm that still works ( facing backwards).
The trap door who was connected to the defect diaphragm are locked in open mode
now.
