When i put the car in park, i have to manually turn the steering column farther counter clockwise til it stops.
do i need a whole new column? Or is there a way to tighten up the linkage between the automatic floor shifter and column?
details, the car was changed over from a coulmn shift to a floor shift before i bought it.

Check the backdrive linkage for slop and/or missing bushings. If all that checks out sounds like adjustment is in order.
