65 Ninety Eight

Just drove my new car home today. It ran til I got it here. It was parked for 1 years the fluids have been replaced. I was wondering does it run on leaded gas? It acts like it isnt getting gas. This car is in perfect condition! The interior glistens with gold ulpholstry and beige vinyl? And chrome features. I am such a lucky girl. My son is wild about getting it to his school which starts in late January. He is going to Universal Tech Institute, an awsome automotive school. Is this a 425 engine like the 88s? Please tell me about this car, anyone?

The 425 is similar to the 88's but the standard engine in the 98 had a 4bbl carb. The dual exhaust Sfire engine was optional. Look to Ebay for the factory shop manual. It will tell you eveything you want to know about the car. Possibly the fuel filter is clogged or maybe its out of gas....hard to diagnose that problem from here.

Hello, I would run 93 octane un-leaded. Probably carb is gummed up, Fresh gas may help. I have 3 Olds 98's. Nice cars. Good luck, Ken
