pics of black betty
Found some pics of black betty on my phone, so she has a 350 with an auto 3 or 4 speed trans, car is running and drivable but on maypops, take a look at her nose I dont think this is from a 47 olds but im not sure maybe you guys can check this out and give some insite, no fenders or hood at least original hood, and no trunk lid definatley will need a trunk lid and hardware, I am from east tennessee kingsport to be exact, got the car in greenville tn, there is evidence of possible drag racing in knoxville with this car, pretty cool, I think she will make a nice rat rod, thanks guys for the posts and replies. < dave dotts >

Sorry about that. Fat-thumbed the send button. It is a nose from a late 40s Dodge truck as Charlie said in his reply. Very interesting coupe with a colorful history I would wager. I have a left and right rear fender that are OK, not pristine but OK with a little work or they could just be bolted on and used if it is going to be a rat rod. Problem is how to get them there from out here in Washington State. Fastenal the bolt and nut place will haul car parts in their trucks at a fairly reasonable price. You can send a private message by clicking on my forum name and selecting PM --if you are interested. Front fenders are around but tough to find. Only model 66 or 68 fronts will fit. Grills are all the same 46-47 and small 48s. I don't know what that hood is but it sure isn't Oldsmobile unless from the 30s maybe. Hang around the thread that Pat mentioned and you will find several others with 40s and maybe the parts you need.
