New Here not to Oldsmobiles
New to classicoldsmobile, have owned a few in the past; first one 1965 Starfire I, 425 cu in, 14 - 1967 442's dragged a lot of these small block 400 cu in'ers, automatics for the most part. Currently restoring the 1947 convertible I was almost born in, so I may be asking for advice, parts, sources, etc... Still love the 1967 442 (still have a few parts I just can't part with). The "47" was purchased in Hawaii by my Dad shipped state side by the Navy and has been in every state in the union (except Alaska, I drove a 67 442 there & back). Will post current and progress pictures.
Thanks

Welcome. FYI, the 400 is considered a big block Olds based on the deck height of the block (which is the same as on the 425 and 455 motors). The 1977-79 403 motor is considered a small block since it has the shorter deck height of the 330 and 350 motors.
