Greetings from San Diego..."old guy" newbie
We live in San Diego and have had several 73-75 Cutlass Supreme's over the years....got involved with a built 57 Chevy pickup for a few years but it was just too much work and involvement for a man in his 70's..so last week I started looking for a nice, driver 73-75 Cutlass (I know they are less popular with some but we really like the styling and the way they handle for "ice cream runs" and cruises....Found one on E play that has all the marks of being a really nice car so took a chance and it's going to be here in a week or so..It's a 350-4bbl...with factory air and the vinyl interior..rust free in all areas..no bondo or any other repairs...was painted as paint had faded in the dry climate of Southwest Utah..
The very first car I sort of remember was a 41 Oldsmobile 2 door. I was about 4 at the time we got it...Dad went to the factory on the train and drove it home to Denver. Over the years I had many Oldsmobiles and used a number of Olds engines in street rods and modified cars.
The Cutless we bought appears to be a nice driver car and should bring hours of fun..I can still do minor work but at 76 I'm not into getting too involved..we got a great garage in the area that is really competent and good for vintage GM cars so firs stop is to have him put it up and check everything.
Nice to be on the forum..
Thanks

Make that "Great Grandkids" too...got a couple of them..I know this is an Oldsmobile site but hope you won't flame me too bad...here's pics of the 57 highly modified 3100 series pickup we sold a year or so ago...just took too much babying for us..it was quick and fun...lots of nice memories..think the time for hotrods is over and now time to cruise.
