Does anyone know where I can get the Distributor Vacuum control switch for a 1972 Olds Cutlass with plug on the top.

You'll have to get one off someone that has an extra, they dont make repros last time I checked, is your car missing one? You could just connect your distributor to potted vacuum thats what alot of folks have done. All the dvcs does is kick in the manifold vacuum to prevent overheating. But I'm sure there are varied opinions on having one installed.

Cheers,

Tony

Thanks Tony,

That's the problem I can't find anyone that has it. All aftermarket. My Cutlass is not overheat but the temp is a little high and I'm not sure if it's the duration of the cam or this switch. Only happens at idle.

They are getting scarcer to find. Occasionally they are on ebay. If you hear about someone scrapping a 71 or 72 Olds with a 350 or 455, those are the only years I believe you'll find them on. We have 3 members who actively part cars. You might want to contact them and ask? Here are the links to the 3 that I know:

Good luck with your search. This is what you're looking for:

It also advances timing when the car is in 3rd gear.
