72 Cutlass Convertable comes out of long term storage
New to the Classic Oldsmobile. First car i ever enjoyed A/C in was my dad's new '71 Cutlass Supreme (summer 1971). My first personal car was a 1968 Ninety Eight 4 dr hard top, bought for $100 in 1975. 455 4bbl., and to this day, the smoothest running engine I've ever had. Loved the '71 Cutlass, but preferred the "egg crate" grill I had on my Ninety Eight so I opted for the '72 Cutlass, in convertible form. Bought it in 1992, but being a father to 2 and then three kids took over and the car sat mothballed for nearly 30 years. Now it's up on an Advantage Lift (4 post) and I just picked up a pair of NOS rear quarter panels today (just needed the left to replace a crappy "sail panel" job, but had to buy the pair). Bought that car in '92 for just $3,500, appraises presently for $15,500. Base model, 350/350/2 bbl. It's painted navy blue, but original color was "flame orange".(planning to go back to). Sandblasting SSII wheels (14x7) with my new blast cabinet and added a second compressor to get to 22 CFM at 90 psi. And so it begins.......

I have had two 72 Cutlass convertibles very similar ot yours with the exception my both had 4-barrel carbs. These are really good cars. They have great styling and are really fun to drive. Good luck with your restoration and let us see some pictures.
