'68 cutlass tach options?

i have a '68 olds cutlass s that i am trying to put gauges into. was wondering what the best tach is for a budget-minded guy? the tick-tock tachs seem ungodly expensive. i have a vdo vision 3-3/8" tach, but it looks pretty tricky to mount. another option would be most welcome. any takers?

If you are on a budget and already own a tach then use it. Could you mount it off the steering column? I have seen that done before. If you are looking to install it in the dash to make it look stock then you may have your work cut out for you.
