Started with an east coast purchase in 2007. A pretty rough project coming from the NE. I had it moved 3000 miles, all the way to the Northwest. Started a body off full resto Jan/2009. Still looking for a few improved pieces. Having trouble locating good sheet metal, like lower quarters etc. Disapointed with the lone Olds steel replacement supplier out of the upper midwest. Still looking for good rear wheel well stainless trim used on the 98 only. Need 394 dipstick and tube. Need better dash pot metal, otherwise, I'll try to rechrome what I have etc. As of Aug 2009, I have the entire rolling chassis completed, with orig rebuilt 394 and matching jetaway. Only exhaust is missing as I'm trying to locate original exhaust hangars (dual). Will update progress, and if anyone has parts, part cars, or intrest etc. please reply.

Welcome to CO
Nice project, I am a big fan of the older Oldsmobiles as you can see. Make a list of the parts your looking for and post it in the parts wanted forum. have you tried http://www.fusick.com/ for your parts they have a lot of good stuff and have great service. Good luck with your build and keep us posted with updates and pictures.

The frame looks incredibly strong. It looks like it will be a great car. I hope you can find the parts you need. Keep the pics coming.

Nice project and it looks like you are really doing it right. In the first picture of the frame w/ engine on the lift, the car in the background without a rear glass looks like a '58 Pontiac, is it?

Beautiful car! What is the color code for that green engine paint? There was a 59 2 dr ht in the yard I got my car from. It sold for 800.00 last winter. It may still be there It had cherry quarters. I think the guy still has an 88 2 dr sedan though. Pm me for his number. He's in Red Bluff CA
