LOL IDK why but this site never lets me post pics for some reason.... something about a security token IDK...
Fixed the first issue today during lunch, bought new low beams and brake lights and swapped the dead headlight and the passenger side brake lights. Will do the drivers side after work.
Car runs great from what i know, Blinkers need fixed though for me to get the safety inspection on it and swap the title over to my name still....
Air blows on it, Heater though not A/C in it. Body needs MAJOR fixing. Interior not terrible but needs carpet and headliner(ripped up in the back). Rust err-where, but still happy with the purchase. Will try to post pics from the work computer to see if that works and will take more pics tonight if i got time.

And of course it lets me on my work computer....

So I have had the car for about 2 months. and i have been having a random dying of the car happening, and so i havent been running it too often, well.... today i started it up and (hope to god i am wrong) but it sounded like a spun bearing. the more gas i give it the more it goes.... Not a good time for me and engines i say....

And After.... I think i did a pretty good job, just need to clean up some of the goo lol
And in case you wonder how i got it off, its really easy. Just used a clothes steamer and soaked the tint then scraped it right off with a razor, and if it isnt too old or crappily put on you can just pull it right off when steamed enough

Working on putting it back together after changing out the heads while still in the car lol. HOPEFULLY this will fix the random dying problem. That and i got in my possession an original carb . Pics below
Also took pictures of the paperwork that i got with the carb, seems to be a delco rebuilt.

OH GOD... Some updates on this one..... Kinda been slow on this but here goes.
Engine is out of the car due to a milky substance in the engine after swapping out the head gasket and also a knocking noise.... LUCKILY its not a spun bearing but not sure what was causing the milky substance.... Hopefully getting and engine off of stephen when he comes into town and will install that bad boy and get her running... Most likely no i will be trying to get the H/O out there for that trip Joe. Cant wait to meet u as well and see your car.

Took the heads to the machine shop to get them worked. Then had the block picked up and it will be taken on Monday. So if all goes well i should have the motor up and running by end of next month .

Block dropped off at machine shop, no cracks in it and heads tested fine. They think the failure was due to a collapsed piston. They also think the reason for my radiator leaking was due to the heater core had a leak.

This one ended up being a failed electric fuel pump. Swapped it over to a mechanical and that worked until i took the motor out lol.

Heads: Fine
Block: Great
Crank: still good
Pistons: cheap and collapsing and GONE!!!
Block was finally honed and I ordered new pistons, awaiting arrival of them (tomorrow) and new bearing kit to also be ordered.
Here are the pistons i ended up going with in case you were curious.

Also ordered me some Bill Hirsch engine paint so we shall see how it works...

Soon I hope and it will most likely be in my garage lol. I will let you know when and might even wait for you until you can make the trip. Bring Joe along too . I will probably be throwing a BBQ or something that day. I should probably clean the garage up LOL

Most engine failures are due to improper machine work and dirty assembly areas. I would clean it up and get as much dirt and grease off the floor as possible. You wanna keep it all as clean as you can when you put it together.
