'67 Delmont 88 Ready For Body Parts
A few pics of my Delmont's engine compartment before the fenders are installed.
The last few weeks feel like not that much was accomplished after a lot of hard work but there was a lot of little stuff, i.e., heater assembly, cleaning and painting the interior heater box, motor, wiper motor, gauge hook ups, making a wiring harness (semi-hidden) for the engine and accessories, installing the shifter cable, fabricating a fuel line, gas tank installation, repairing the fuel sending unit, fabricating pipes (Sanderson shorty header to glass packs), etc. etc. All of you have been through this part of a project....
There are a few things to fart around with but, with any luck and a good tailwind, the front fenders and cowl induction hood (functional thanks to my father-in-law) should be on the car next weekend.
Thanks for all the info so far and thanks in advance for future advice!

Oh yeah, you project guys would appreciate this. The truck to the right of my car was a 1978 Chevy 3/4 ton, 4-wheel drive with a 383 stroker a few weeks ago. Now it's a 80-something (body) and 95% ready to run. The kicker is that my father-in-law (the owner of both trucks used to make the new one) did 90% of this by himself and he is getting close to 70!
I had to mention this. We all hopefully will still be doing projects and restorations at his age.

I just posted a picture of the '53 GMC that he built a year or so ago on the Paint forum. He set it on a later model 4-wheel drive Chevy. To do this he had to shorten the frame--which he did by himself!
