1941 Oldsmobile series 98 restoration
haven't been on in a while been getting overwhelmed with life so to speak and metal work on my 41'. Well so far I patched some holes in the driver side of the trunk floor. replaced the entire section of the body where the fender mounts , a section where the trim was behind the door and patched a section of the wheel-well. I wasn't to concerned with the appearance of the metal work in the trunk as you won't see it once the cloth interior is in there, or where the fender mounts as there's fender welt to hide some imperfections on the edge. I've done some body work where they leaded the panels together and where there where waves and dents. here's some pics of the progress so far.
the primer is dry in the pics I wet it down for the pics so you can see what i saw when the primer was still wet. I have to finish the wheel well and replace the body mount and patch a small hole in the corner of the trunk where my patch panel didn't quite meet, but I was getting frustrated with that corner piece trying to get it to bend like it is and said screw it i'll make a thin strip to weld in there. oh the trunk lid is not attached it's just sitting there with the latch holding it up so that big gap at the bottom in the pic is the lid open at the bottom it sits flush when closed
