interior colors

I have a 71 cutlass conv. My question is I am confused on the color of the interior. I think it is white but I have been looking at Year One for some
armrests. They only list pearl for 71. The code on the id plate is 977.
How much difference is between white and pearl?

That 7 on the end of the trim codes denotes white. The white they used in '71 is pearlescent, althought they didn't call it that. It's got a sheen to it, kind of a little metallic. Sort of subdued rainbow hues, like a plated brake booster. Think of a refrigerator white car as compared to later model cars that are painted "White Diamond" - like a Cadillac Escalade, or a final series Trofeo or Buick Riviera.

Pearl is correct for your car.
