Question- do they have a formed steel top rail under the vinyl, or is it just a vinyl flap that wraps over and clips into the window channel?

Steel top rail under vinyl, was pressed into panel board. I removed board, ground down the rail and glued and riveted rail to new board with countersunk rivets. There were some small dents in the rail I didn't see until vinyl was down. Should have been filled.

I agree with everyone, looks very nice. Something to be proud of every time you get into your car. Upholstery work takes alot of patience , you nailed it with a Job well done.

Rambow- How did the factory staple to the metal?

To the rear panels. I would need more vinyl and work done at the upholsterer to continue, so i am thinking this.
1st pic- There is a tear in the top center of the panel
2nd pic- Thinking SEM and some customizing with some stuff I have laying around. What do you think? The cardboard is roughly the seat line.
