68-442

Hi olds mccrazy guys i have been rebuilding my 68 442 vert ran into a snag putting standard shifter in i cant get it to fit properly i have changed linkages around moving shifter to different holes etc. with no avail IT WONT WORK hoping someone has pictures of one install so i can use it as a reference any help would be appreciated!! thanks ted

More detail. By standard shifter are you referring to a standard shift (stick car) or a standard Automatic shifted car??? Pictures from your project are worth many words.

Yep just what I thought it is the wrong one I have I am sure the shifter will work but the linkages are wrong is there a mounting plate between the shifter and trans also? I think this one I got is wrong also any more help would help thanks ted

i have correct rods..levers and mount plate if you need it....its my back up set, but i dont think i need 2 sets...i'm not going to buy any more cars....(yeah right).....i'd sell this stuff..

Look at the Assembly Manual picture. The mounting plate is clearly shown.

Definetly I am interested would you ship them to me? I do have a u s post number at whalesly island about an hour away and how much? I want to get it running I am itching I have never heard the car run and have owned for 7 years
