Rarest 71 Olds Cylinder Head?

Here are some pics of my 1971 "7" 350 heads that have rotators only on the Intake valves. They had not been previously rebuilt. According to all the online info and Greg from Supercars and Mark (Cutlassefi), they should have rotators on both intake and exhaust or exhaust only. Another reason to be careful - never say never!

In 71 the heads only had rotators on the Exhaust. In 72 the 7A heads had rotators on both intake and exhaust. They also had hardened valve seats.
What you have is someone at Olds having a bad Monday or in a hurry to take off early on Friday? What are you going to do? I'm guessing you're going to rebuild the heads anyway.

Heads designed to use rotators from the factory will have deeper spring pockets on the valves that got the rotators. This is so the installed spring height is correct when the thickness of the rotator is included. If these heads don't have the rotators installed on the springs in the deep pockets, they were obviously assembled incorrectly.

Joe, these heads have the deeper spring pocket on the intake - from the factory - to accommodate the rotators. I put it back together as it was built - it lasted this long with this arrangement - hopefully my upgrades of the W-30 pressure springs and W-31 valves wont cause any issues.
