Doing it the right way
Just thought I'd post this for those who haven't seen what it looks like to do it the right way.

How to know it wasn't done right after someone else does a rebuild. What would be a way to tell. This is good to know before getting a engine rebuilt,so ya can make sure to have it done right.Or at least ask if it's gone to be done.If not fine a builder that will do it right!

" It does make a difference studs VS bolts."
Shouldn't the hone plate be made of material that behaves identical to the cast iron or AL head to be used [AL is 1/3 as rigid as steel, not sure where unsolid cast iron falls in there] ?
Also, if studs vs bolts matters, the same type hardware should be use for honing with the proper type plate. No, let's go further- THE EXACT SAME FASTENERS should be used, torqued by the same technician, using the same tool, in the same sequence.
To be as nearly perfect as possible.
I am not being facetious at this time.
